HOW MANY TABLES WILL I NEED?

All depends on your size of function and venue but here is a guideline. You can change the number of tables to fit your specific budget or requirements.
10 – 30 guests                       1 Black Jack or Poker + 1 Roulette
30 – 55 guests                       2 Black Jack or Poker + 1 Roulette
55 – 100 guests                     3 Black Jack or Poker + 1 Roulette
100 – 150 guests                   4 Black Jack or Poker + 2 Roulettes
150 – 200 guests                   5 Black Jack or Poker + 2 Roulettes
Black Jack can accommodate more players than Poker or Roulette at one stage. This is also a better known game.

How does a party work?
Guests are provided with ‘funny money’ which they can exchange at any gaming table for chips. Dealers at the various tables will explain how the games are played. The fun is endless!

Can we win prizes?
Usually the host arranges to have prizes at the end of the evening. NO PRIZES CAN BE WON BY ANY GUEST AS A RESULT OF ANY GAME PLAYED. This is due to the restrictions placed by the Gambling & Racing Board.
Prizes can be awarded to the player with the most flair, the best dressed, taking the most chances etc.

Roulette is the most famous & glamorous of games and no fun night would be complete without a Roulette table.
 Place a bet on a single number - pays 35 to 1, split two numbers – pays 17 to 1, three numbers pays 11 to 1,  4 numbers  - pays 8 to 1, six numbers pays 5 to 1.
Change your ‘Fun’ money at the Roulette table and your croupier will give you colour chips, everyone will usually have different coloured chips, this helps you to quickly identify whether you are one of the winners.
Place your bets on the layout, the croupier will spin the wheel & give three announcements so you & your guests are aware when to start & stop placing bets.

“Place your bets please”  (If you have not already started placing your chips, start now).

“Finish betting”  (Get ready to stop placing your bets; you have around 5 seconds to finish betting).

“No more bets, thank you” (You now stop placing bets & wait to see if you are a lucky winner).
When the ball drops into the winning number it will be marked with a "dolly" the croupier will then pay the winning bets.
This game can accommodate 10 players at any one time.

Blackjack is a variation of Pontoon, and by far one of the most popular games, an ideal game for novices & the more experienced player. This is certainly another one of those must have games!
The essence of Blackjack is to get as close to 21 as possible. Over 21 and you lose!
Once you have cashed in your funny money, place your chip/s in the box in front of you. The dealer will run her finger along the insurance line to ensure that all bets have been placed. This is when the fun begins!
The dealer will deal two cards face up to each player & one face up to herself. Each player will then be asked in turn if they would like any more cards. Once all players have been asked, the dealer will then deal herself cards.
Blackjack can accommodate 7 - 21 players, great fun for novices & pro’s.

Stud Poker is one of the easiest & friendliest of poker games, in which the players are trying to get a higher hand than the dealer - they are not competing against each other.
Stud is played at a table similar to blackjack. The attraction of the game is the high pay-off if you catch a good hand which qualifies. The dealer requires Ace, King or a higher ranking hand to qualify, if not she will pay all the ante bets even money.
Once again, bets are placed in the box called ‘Ante’, each player including the dealer will receive 5 cards, one of the dealers cards is placed face up. (A clue to the strength of the dealer's hand).

Guests can change 1 card, then each player decides whether to continue playing, if so you need to double your original bet & place it in the raise box.
